This weekend, Present Made is at the Eddington Carnival
And we're bringing something a little different. In partnership with Arts and Minds Cambridge, we're hosting free creative workshops across both days, open to everyone, no experience needed.
Whether you pick up a brush for the first time or rediscover a skill you haven't used in years, we'd love to see you in the marquee.
What's on at the Present Made Marquee?
We're running two dedicated workshop sessions across the carnival weekend, each lasting 30 minutes, with multiple slots available throughout the day. All workshops are free, beginners are very welcome, and there's no need to book. Just drop in when it suits you!
Friday 17th July - Watercolour Painting Workshop
Join us on Friday for a guided watercolour painting session. You'll be introduced to the basics of the medium, from colour mixing to brush technique, in a relaxed and supportive setting.
Sessions run at 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 5pm and 6pm.
Saturday 18th July - Sumi-e Japanese Ink Painting
On Saturday, we're exploring the ancient Japanese art of Sumi-e ink painting. Using traditional brushwork and ink, you'll learn how to create expressive, minimal compositions that capture movement and form.
Sessions run at 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 5pm and 6pm.
Delivered in Partnership with Arts and Minds, Cambridge
Both workshops are delivered in partnership with Arts and Minds, a Cambridge-based organisation that uses creativity and the arts to support mental health and wellbeing. Their facilitators will be guiding each session, creating a warm and welcoming environment for people of all abilities.
Arts and Minds work across Cambridgeshire to make creative activities accessible to everyone, and we're proud to be partnering with them to bring that spirit to the Eddington Carnival this year.
